Jim Halverson, Power Transmission Manager of Van Meter Industrial, recently sent members of his sales team to IDC-USA for a two-day training session.

Halverson wants his staff to understand the other company they own (IDC-USA); what it is, what it does, and how it can help Van Meter grow their business. As an ESOP, everyone working at Van Meter is an equal owner with an equal stake in the future of their company. They strive to ensure that every member of their team is equipped with the knowledge and experience to provide uncompromising service.

“I sent three staff members to the Bulk Material Handling class in November. The four days they spent at IDC-USA provided great insight into the other company we own. These folks returned to Van Meter with a different mindset. I want my whole team to have a clear understanding of the tools available through IDC-USA to help us go to market,” says Halverson. He continues, “I strongly encourage other IDC Distributors to follow suit by having their staff participate in on-site training sessions at IDC-USA. The benefits are phenomenal.”
